The following is a summary of the Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Workshop to be held on January 24-25, 2015 (Saturday and Sunday) at the INCOSE International Workshop (IW) in Torrance, CA.
There will be other MBSE-related meetings on January 26-27, 2015 (Monday and Tuesday), some of which are identified below. However, one should refer to the specific meeting or working group site for details on those meetings.
Participants must register for the INCOSE IW at http://www.cvent.com/events/incose-international-workshop-2015/custom-35-52e6970c3afd4aa68c27ba8eeb8fde1a.aspx. The MBSE Workshop is now closed for registration. We regret that on site registration will not be available.
Reference to the MBSE Workshop can also be found on the INCOSE website at http://www.cvent.com/events/incose-international-workshop-2015/custom-35-52e6970c3afd4aa68c27ba8eeb8fde1a.aspx .
Please take approximately 15 minutes to complete the following MBSE Survey to help us understand the state of MBSE practice. The results will be made available on the MBSE Wiki. The information will not be attributed to any individual or company.
Presentations and results from past INCOSE MBSE Workshops can be found at the bottom of the MBSE Wiki at MBSE Events and Related Meetings.
Workshop Objectives and Agenda. The Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Workshop will be held on Saturday and Sunday, January 24-25, 2015 as part of the INCOSE International Workshop in Torrance, California. This 2 day workshop provides an opportunity to learn about the latest MBSE activities and applications, and to network with others involved in MBSE.
The workshop includes breakout sessions that are intended to inform and engage the participants in a broad range of MBSE related topics. The breakout session topics include both emerging modeling technologies and standards, modeling practices, and modeling approaches used in particular application domains. Each breakout session includes a combination of informative presentations, demonstrations where applicable, and group discussions on the potential impacts on the state of MBSE practice, and the associated challenges and future directions. The specific breakout session topics include:
MBSE 101
Model Technologies and Standards
Modeling Practices
Domain Specific Modeling Applications
The workshop agenda is included below. A thought provoking keynote presentation will be given following the introduction, which begins promptly on Saturday at 10:30 AM. The breakout sessions begin after lunch on Saturday and continue through Sunday at 5:00 PM. Some of the breakout sessions will be repeated to give opportunities to participate in multiple breakouts. An MBSE Reception will be held from 5:30 - 6:30 PM on Sunday. We look forward to your participation and contribution to this event.
